Peter Pappas: is to give conservatives of a voice in Cumberland County Fable and Beyond. And we know this is the smartest hour of radio. And

Michael Dublin: Smart Cellular Radio.

Peter Pappas: with that, what you been up to, Laura? My first full week at work. Yay!

Michael Dublin: My first full week of work, yay! I am bringing her my bios, but the girl is training me on and off of whatever else is up. She is surprised at how quickly I'm changing stuff. So, but I don't sell her.

Peter Pappas: I am drinking from a pioneer hose. Uh-huh. but the girl that is like training me on and off, whatever, says she is surprised at how quickly I'm picking things up. So but I always tell these brilliance. my mom says I'm handsome too, but you know, it doesn't always make it so. You know, I'm just you know self promotion type self promotion sometimes, you know. You know. I I think you're very smart. Thank you. And very strategic.

Michael Dublin: I think you're very smart. you. Thank you.

Peter Pappas: Thank you. so I had a great first week. this weekend I kinda just like caught up and and and finished doing all my stuff. Okay. And yeah, on to working out a serious

Michael Dublin: So I had a great first week. This weekend, I kind of just caught up and finished doing all my stuff. I'm going to have a serious...

Peter Pappas: rigid schedule because I kind of get in the weeds when I get home I'm like this and then I don't finish it and then I start this and then I go on Saturday, I'm like, my gosh, all these things were started every night. So I'm gonna spend like when I get home.

Michael Dublin: rigid schedule because I kind of get in the weeds when I get home. I start this and I don't finish it and then start this and then I go and Saturday I'm like my gosh all these things were started every night. So I'm gonna spend like when I get home 25 minutes going nothing but cleaning or organizing or whatever. So rigid, rigid, somebody rigid. Well you know it's that time of year and a lot of people are starting to have school time. So it's 30 August 3rd today.

Peter Pappas: twenty five minutes doing nothing but cleaning or organizing or whatever. Okay, okay. So bridges. I'm getting rid of this. Well, you it's that time of the year I think a lot of people are gonna start doing that. The school's gonna start and I mean it's already August third today, so I know some home post school they better have chores. If you're teaching kids laugh with chores. Get those kids chores. So they do them how yeah they do. So well like tell us wait a minute, you didn't tell me about your I mean My week was my week, you know. Business and business and those stresses and you know, I I mean I did make it to Myrtle Beach, you know, it was it wasn't it was none. I got my girlfriend's down there, so you know, she makes sure I go and you know, that I don't sit here and sulk on the weekends

Michael Dublin: make sure to show.

Peter Pappas: and I get out, you know. Right. I do have friends that want me to have a life, but you know, sometimes I'm like I don't deserve one. I you know, I gotta get back. I gotta accomplish more. So well so my deserve a life. So so I

Michael Dublin: I do have friends that want me out live, but sometimes I'm like, whatever. I can't help you. So we're not going to fully introduce but I know enough about you that you were a medical teacher for long time.

Peter Pappas: w we're not gonna fully introduce you, but I don't I know enough about you that you were a middle school teacher for a long time, so you've been pretty well tempered with the adolescent minds. anything and

Michael Dublin: It actually has the adolescent mind.

Peter Pappas: And a Marine Yeah. what anything with you last couple of weeks besides campaigning? Anything good with the family or little mini vacation, maybe? I mean everything everything is good with the family.

Michael Dublin: with you last couple of weeks, do think you're with family or you have any vacation plans? I mean everything is good with family.

Peter Pappas: we had the green party.

Michael Dublin: Thank you.

Peter Pappas: national meeting in Chicago. So I was in Chicago last week. Okay. Okay. Spend about five days up there. It's my first time in Chicago,

Michael Dublin: the first time.

Peter Pappas: so I don't know if it was going to to get out. I I had a question. Do they block everything off like

Michael Dublin: to think about everything else.

Peter Pappas: they do for the Republican party where they block everything off and you can't go anywhere with No, no, it's definitely

Michael Dublin: and you can't go anywhere with

Peter Pappas: not that big. So no, we're not as

Michael Dublin: I don't know what that is.

Peter Pappas: big as No, I like what you said. We're growing. Right in the middle, I'm right. I just didn't know I mean it can it be

Michael Dublin: I love you.

Peter Pappas: sometimes repeat. I'm Democrat the party does the exact same thing. They block everything off or whatever. I didn't know how big the Green Party is. I don't know much about it. I think it's I don't think the Green Party has safe

Michael Dublin: completely free party.

Peter Pappas: spaces and stuff either, so probably takes less security

Michael Dublin: faceless.

Peter Pappas: than I I thought that they're not the left of the Democrat party. I don't know, they're a little lefty, but it's okay. We like them. Okay. All right, he's gonna own it. I like it. I own it.

Michael Dublin: I we're.

Peter Pappas: I'm I I sometimes have a problem with left, right, left, right, you know, and I get it. We have to identify people and put

Michael Dublin: We have to talk about the.

Peter Pappas: them in boxes. Right. So I get it. Yeah, so we're we're left. Okay. I'm sorry. I'm very sorry. Everyone is welcome

Michael Dublin: We're, we're there. Okay. I'm very sensitive.

Peter Pappas: here. Even we I always say the crazy red hat red hat wearing people or the Crazy blue haired people. They're all welcome here. No. Okay. No. All right. Did we land on

Michael Dublin: Thank

Peter Pappas: no shit? Don't even go there with me tonight. my god. Good Lord Almighty. She knows it just gets me as a space camp attendee twice.

Michael Dublin: She doesn't just sit in the space.

Peter Pappas: She knows it just gets to me, you know. So Well, there's really no way to spend this one. the poll came out on Fox News this time

Michael Dublin: on Fox News.

Peter Pappas: and it says our guy is down nine. The honest move is to read the cross tabs, not attack the pulse. Polster. So let us let's read Okay. Well Roy Cooper's then on the dollar in this case for Stillmark is basically a utility.

Michael Dublin: Thank

Peter Pappas: you don't love the power company, but you pay Yeah, yeah. So a few weeks ago there was a poll put out by a Democrat concerned. Was it four weeks ago? No no it was down four. He was down four. And I felt like that was like a false flag affirmation to get Republicans

Michael Dublin: to get.

Peter Pappas: to be complacent to not go support our nominee. Right. So but let's see here. We got well let's see. Do you think you can recover from nine point deficit this late? I think so. I think so too. I

Michael Dublin: I think that's what I think.

Peter Pappas: think that yeah. Absolutely. Cooper being up nine, yeah. That's that can be overcome. I believe so too. A lot of people aren't going to vote for well, I me personally, I'll save on the radio. I'm not voting for my lobby. I'm voting again Roy Cooper. Right. Yeah, we we I don't want to see him in any leadership position ever again. Of our you know, I I just remember COVID. That was enough for me. Yep. Waiting to see if I could open my restaurant or making people sit six feet apart. Yeah. I want to go to check. Yeah. Or and it wasn't his fault the airports, but you know, it was six feet apart when you're waiting to check in, but then they eat you go all in the same metal tube. Right. Next to each other. And if a douche document was dialing and checks that you needed all that dude Yeah. So are they gonna try to chip away at his pardon, do you think? Is there a way to do that? 'Cause I mean that's pretty well established. I don't think that you can chip away at anything

Michael Dublin: I don't think that you can chip away at

Peter Pappas: that he did before, but if he admits to something in the future. Because you can't give a preemptive

Michael Dublin: to something in future.

Peter Pappas: pardon for something that we might do in the future. That's that's that there's there's no way that What if I get one of those? Yeah, I want a pardon. I I want a preemptive

Michael Dublin: I'm out of

Peter Pappas: pardon. Yeah. So I think Michael I mean Michael I I mean Roy Cooper lived by that you know, but n my grandson hated his little mask that he could take him to the daycare and

Michael Dublin: You know, putting up with my grandson, he did his little mass base, he's taking the day.

Peter Pappas: he's like, I don't want to wear this. I'm like, I don't want you to wear it either. That's why I don't wear them. But yes, it was

Michael Dublin: That's why I don't wear them. But yes.

Peter Pappas: horrible. Yeah, yeah. Compliance for compliance sake. So w in our my opinion, Watley he's got a consolidation

Michael Dublin: a lot of the things that are in some of

Peter Pappas: problem. He needs to get the Republicans consolidated to rally behind him. Now, I did have one gentleman stop by the resource center last week. He thought it was the GOP. And I said, Well, luckily I'm not the party, but what can I help you with? And he says, I want to tell I want to complain to you about the Watley ads. He actually said he didn't like the negative aspect. It's all, you know, screw Roy Cooper, which I think everybody in this room can agree we don't like Cooper. However, it was not anything positive that Michael Watley can do for us. That's the truth. is well, I will say that

Michael Dublin: is, I will say.

Peter Pappas: he you keep that's the pot calling Kev Black because I was on YouTube all weekend taking classes on app folio and doing different things. And I actually built my

Michael Dublin: because I was on YouTube all weekend taking classes on that folio and doing different things that I actually don't

Peter Pappas: own app. Tell me when I'm in the office and not out of the office. But anyway, besides Wing. So I was on YouTube all weekend long videos. Every single

Michael Dublin: Thank you

Peter Pappas: video, every single video that I watched had an ad. And you wanna know what the ad was? About some kind of West and how he was a

Michael Dublin: in the

Peter Pappas: sex offender and how Michael Watley hired him. And how if he hires Michael or what w whatever this guy West guy is. Who's this West guy? I don't know. Some kind of sex encounter they hired or something. I don't

Michael Dublin: in context of something.

Peter Pappas: even know the whole story, but I do know the Jane doesn't know the whole story. And maybe she would be on the

Michael Dublin: Thank

Peter Pappas: chat. I don't know, I can't see it. you can't see your chat. No. I will fix your chat. I'll be happy to. I'm trying to somebody made a comment 'cause I can see the little person. So Michael what we had split up but his campaign or better.

Michael Dublin: Michael Wiley has put up for his campaign.

Peter Pappas: National Synod. I think they're b talk about birds of a feather. I I think they're one and the same. I don't think they're mutually exclusive in any shape or form. let me give more can that coordinate with the age of the law for a coordinate with the campaign.

Michael Dublin: with the ST.

Peter Pappas: However, it seems certainly across the board. I'm not accusing anybody of anything, I'm just saying that it always seems like

Michael Dublin: I'm just saying that it always keeps.

Peter Pappas: whatever. Well, you know, they always What do you what do you say? Potato potato? I mean they're

Michael Dublin: you

Peter Pappas: they're gonna find a way. Okay, your chat's being not nice to me right now. Hmm. Just like me. Mm-hmm. I deserve it today. This is this is just garbage. Come on. See. Okay. So Pete, you want a space camp are you a Trek again? Yes I am. Are you a Star Wars or track guy? Okay. Okay. Okay. See I never got into what's the Who? The Who Vium. Not the Who. Yeah. I never got into that.

Michael Dublin: Thanks for coming to...

Peter Pappas: I don't know what I never got into that, yeah. It's that it was a British thing and then they re they rebooted it on Sci Fi, I guess. Is that Yeah, they they rebooted it. It was gone for like fifteen

Michael Dublin: I think they re-blued it, it was complex.

Peter Pappas: years and they rebooted it in like two thousand four. Okay. Who's Doctor Who?

Michael Dublin: after.

Peter Pappas: It's Sci Fi. It's yeah. It's kinda like I mean what's on first who's on second? Well, yeah. No is a time reward. Okay. So, let's see, what do we got next? So The Green Party's on your ballot because Republicans voted to put it there. So we'll just take credit for that. So you're welcome. Well, you can't just say just take credit for it, but you have to say that they actually voted three to two. Yes.

Michael Dublin: they just take credit for what you have to say, that they actually voted for you too.

Peter Pappas: Three Republicans voted yes, let's put the Green Party on there and the Democrats said. You

Michael Dublin: Democrats say.

Peter Pappas: know, gotta keep them men off the ballot. But but let me the Green Party didn't meet the criteria.

Michael Dublin: Thank you. Yeah, it's a great board.

Peter Pappas: keep ballot access. So we met the criteria and then they went and voted. And like you guys said, Republicans three to two. Mm-hmm. But we met the criteria. So it's like again the Democrats trying to keep the

Michael Dublin: And then it went voted. And like I said, was voted against in 3-2. But we met the criteria. So was like, again, the Democrats trying to keep

Peter Pappas: budget. Well you're trying to add a party to the ballot. What are the criteria you're looking for? I don't know what it is now. I know

Michael Dublin: is now.

Peter Pappas: in twenty twenty two it was I think fourteen thousand five hundred signatures and anybody who followed the story know we had over twenty two thousand. Okay. the Democrats tried to throw out most of them and they sued, they called people, said you sign this, you might go to jail

Michael Dublin: sign this.

Peter Pappas: and they threaten people. Yeah, it was it was horrible. All in the name of democracy. All in the name of democracy, yeah. That sounds legit. I mean, you know. Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with that. Yeah, if you sign that you're going to jail. Okay. So but so aside from signatures, that's really we get the signatures, they're vetted as registered voters. Yeah. That's really the only proofing that needs to happen. Yes. And so now once a party gets ballot access to retain it you have to get two percent of your

Michael Dublin: Yes, and so now once the party gets better at just retaining, you have to get 2 % of

Peter Pappas: presidential candidate in the state or two percent of

Michael Dublin: And stay with Foodstamp.

Peter Pappas: the gubernatorial candidate. Okay. So that's why you know people ask why the smaller parties

Michael Dublin: X, Y is smaller.

Peter Pappas: run. You know, people for governor or things like that. I mean it's is because to retain ballot access something needs to be done. To give us the option of having alternative and maybe one of these days we'll actually maybe one.

Michael Dublin: Thank you.

Peter Pappas: I am one of those people that voted for off throw. Yeah. Way back in the day. I was really young for that. Whatever. My nose is about it. yeah. well, call me Pinocchio. One of these days I'll be a real boy. Well

Michael Dublin: You're strong.

Peter Pappas: that's That's always the argument with libertarian Green Party and the other you know, non traditional that's what I'm gonna call, not French. non traditional parties. You know. it's always that case, but are you throwing your vote away? Not in your own opinion. I don't I don't I don't you're you're voting your conscience. You're voting what? That's exactly what I'm gonna vote. It's my vote. Yeah.

Michael Dublin: Fuck you.

Peter Pappas: I'd rather vote and throw it away, I guess, than

Michael Dublin: Call away again.

Peter Pappas: not vote. Mm-hmm. So shame on you people that don't vote. Yeah. Absolutely. Especially the ones that say my vote doesn't count. Yeah. And we have races decided by tens of votes. Now we have them decided by point offs, yes with mayor bars. Yeah, I remember that. And then when you look at the mayor

Michael Dublin: or fall into accidents, which we can't see them. And then when you look at the media.

Peter Pappas: the mayor in Mon Monroe. Yes or it's decided by a coin dollars. But then when you look at the ballot and they like just to get off topic

Michael Dublin: Yeah, it was decided by a point. And then when you look at the ballot and then like, just, you get off.

Peter Pappas: a little bit. Mm-hmm. But cleaning up the roles. Then you have New Jersey saying

Michael Dublin: We have New Jersey.

Peter Pappas: that they have all over six thousand people of illegal immigrants, but only four hundred of them voted only. So now you have a point on what happens if

Michael Dublin: Now you have a point because what happens is...

Peter Pappas: Yeah. Four hundred of of the illegals voted for Burns and and the other guy should have won. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah,

Michael Dublin: even if it limited for purposes. And the other guys should go on. Yeah, next slide.

Peter Pappas: I look I mean that was in New Jersey. This is no. If you

Michael Dublin: Thank

Peter Pappas: if you're not for voter ID and voter integrity stuff. You're for what what what are you yeah, what are you hiding? Yep. You're for end of story. No there's no if, ends, or buts. There's no justification behind it. If you

Michael Dublin: There's no justification behind it.

Peter Pappas: are not for picture ID.

Michael Dublin: Thank

Peter Pappas: In cleaning up the roles, you are for cheating. For whichever party, whether it's Republican, Democrat, Green Party, Independent, whatever, you're for cheating, Karen.

Michael Dublin: and whatever your searching.

Peter Pappas: Well, and then you know, the Democrats would hate, you know, all the white Karen's in the Democrat Party. They would just have nobody to protect, you know, the poor people of color that I can't figure out how to get people how to how to get their IDs and you know brown, black. My

Michael Dublin: how to get their IDs and know.

Peter Pappas: goodness, you know, what would you do without Karen in the Democrat Party? You know, in the Bob Haircut. Asking for a manager. Wait wait a minute, they'll criticize the anchor. That's my old lady here. You don't have an old lady here, no? No. When I get to be an old lady

Michael Dublin: I know when I get to be in

Peter Pappas: to the hair turn, You gonna do that? Well when you do, I'll make fun of the bob until then.

Michael Dublin: So.

Peter Pappas: So so we just got a couple of things to cover before we go into our our subscription subscription only broadcast. nine one one consolidation here in Fayetteville is finally done. well, okay, it's agreed to. Nothing's done yet. No,

Michael Dublin: subscription.

Peter Pappas: but there are gonna be some problems with personnel moving them and they're worse than the worst partnership ever of arguing. Some partnerships argue over who's gonna hold the checkbook. Right. These guys are arguing over who's really gonna be, now that they've agreed to consolidate, who's really gonna be in charge. Who do who do we think it's ever? I think the county's gonna take it. But again, that's contrary to what other counties in the state have done. They normally let the largest city with the largest population inside that county control it. So how do you feel about Project Odessa? That's where the there's a Ukrainian

Michael Dublin: that's where we need be correct.

Peter Pappas: drone manufacturer looking at an existing building here. I thought they just built like drones to kill Russians with.

Michael Dublin: I don't know.

Peter Pappas: So in my humble opinion, not that I know, but speculation based on the internet.

Michael Dublin: in my humble opinion, not that I know, but speculation based on it.

Peter Pappas: But everything I know about

Michael Dublin: Everything I

Peter Pappas: Ukrainian government or Ukrainian money, Ukrainian anything is crooked and I don't I they they would have to come up with strong things. I don't know. I'm gonna keep an open mind, but yeah, so far all I see is a money

Michael Dublin: So far all I see

Peter Pappas: la laundering operation through Ukrainian. So I'm concerned about somebody coming here for that. Okay. here in Fayetteville. there's a building

Michael Dublin: We've to rebuild them here, with the rest here.

Peter Pappas: Celebration Drive, I believe that's in the industrial park. So but they're out there on the other

Michael Dublin: I it's not there.

Peter Pappas: side of I ninety five, isn't it? But you know, I will say that these economic development deals, usually when we see them as the public, you're dealing with

Michael Dublin: even this public.

Peter Pappas: a process eighteen, twenty-four months in the making

Michael Dublin: 24 months in the bay.

Peter Pappas: from time of first contact. So how many jobs? That's what I wonder. How many jobs? How many are they going to promote jobs here? Are they going to teach people here?

Michael Dublin: Are they going to teach people here

Peter Pappas: to do the skills that are needed for the are they gonna bring in all of their own people and it doesn't help our community at all.

Michael Dublin: to do the skills that are needed? Are they going to bring in all of their own people? And it doesn't help our community.

Peter Pappas: That's what I care about. If we're gonna give tax breaks and things like that, then we need to give the people in the community you need to hire at least seventy percent of the workforce from here and you need to hire at least sixty five percent of the management team from here in the local area. End of story full

Michael Dublin: give tax breaks and things like that then we need to give the people in this community higher at least 70 % of the workforce from here and you need to improve higher at least 65 % of the management teams from here in the local area and the story.

Peter Pappas: stop. Well and the way those incentives work.

Michael Dublin: is a set of spots.

Peter Pappas: that's actually a good question for Favable Economic Development. if we can get their director to come on, he's been on before, so we can hopefully have him again. But the the idea of tax incentive that we give these companies, it's all in

Michael Dublin: It's all there.

Peter Pappas: in arrears. So like they have to hire that many people and prove it. But whatever they agree to to get the package that they're offered. Okay, but wait a minute. They don't get

Michael Dublin: Okay, but wait a minute.

Peter Pappas: cash upfront. I understand. But let's pretend for a moment that I'm this Ukrainian drone

Michael Dublin: And for a moment that I'm this Ukrainian.

Peter Pappas: company and I have to hire eighty people. Mm-hmm. And I bring from Ukraine north to Krota Ukraine, what and I bring all these people here. How is that helping my community? Other than there's more people here to

Michael Dublin: other than the poor people here.

Peter Pappas: suck up the houses of well to consume. That's whatever. Consumption tax.

Michael Dublin: That's it. Whatever.

Peter Pappas: But how does that help the community, those people that are here? I wanna see these companies that come here investing in our

Michael Dublin: these companies that come here investing in.

Peter Pappas: community, people that are here But that's also presupposing that we have the people here coming out of the tier one schools that suck that we have that is that are qualified to work for these companies. But if they don't then let's do some training programs.

Michael Dublin: to do some training.

Peter Pappas: Yeah, I agree. And there's there have been companies. You can bring in your

Michael Dublin: That's why I food is only percentage.

Peter Pappas: Ukrainian friends, but they come and they teach the people that are from here to do

Michael Dublin: people that are from here.

Peter Pappas: what it is. It's I can't remember the company, but it was part of the economic development package that Fable Tech would create a curriculum to help. pre-train basically pre-train, pre-screen

Michael Dublin: Basically, we try

Peter Pappas: these employees to go work at this new economic driver. So if we could just get the people to work without the addictive, that would be great. That's okay. It's free of charge. They they come with the SaaS for free. Yeah. So it's it's Mr It's Mr. Dublin's fault. He just, you know, it's all those middle schoolers he just pushed through there. You know the letter says some

Michael Dublin: Good luck with your test.

Peter Pappas: of the days I don't even want to talk about my Walmart experience. I think I think you do want to talk about your Okay. You you seem like you wanted to talk about it. So I'll just do my chance of present. Okay. And because of the community that we live in or whatever, they have almost all the

Michael Dublin: community that we live in or whatever. have almost all the

Peter Pappas: Legos. they do have all the Legos locked up behind the glass. no, no big thing, so press the thing. Twenty minutes later I'm still pressing these buttons saying get an associate

Michael Dublin: I'm still pressing these buttons. Thank you.

Peter Pappas: around here. Can't find anybody in the store.

Michael Dublin: anybody.

Peter Pappas: So one an associate, I said, should I please get the and I had an attitude.

Michael Dublin: I'm

Peter Pappas: I'm not I'm a customer though. I've been there. It was okay, it wasn't 20 minutes. It was 18 minutes and 17 seconds when I finally saw somebody

Michael Dublin: I'm a customer though. I've been there, was okay, was in 20 minutes, was 18 minutes and 17 seconds.

Peter Pappas: because I and that was after I set my timer. Okay. Can I please get somebody? I'm like, I don't know why we have all

Michael Dublin: I'm like, don't know why we have

Peter Pappas: of this stuff locked up or whatever. And I was like, she said, you don't have to get an attitude with me.

Michael Dublin: You don't have to get a tattoo with me!

Peter Pappas: I was like, I'm not attacking you. I'm just mad. I'm allowed to be mad. Well, figure it out

Michael Dublin: I'm just mad. I'm probably mad. Well, figure it.

Peter Pappas: and walk away. That's what I want to hear from a Walmart. I went

Michael Dublin: That's what I want to hear from O'Walla.

Peter Pappas: on fire and a somewhere on the corner and there's somebody, she's I didn't hear it going off. I was like, that's okay. I only hit it. No worries. So she opens this always,

Michael Dublin: What was this?

Peter Pappas: always with the Yeah. I'm mad. Okay. You stand there at a a glass case to get nine dollar and ninety seven with it doesn't I will stand in the glass

Michael Dublin: You stand there at a glass case to get $9.90? It doesn't sound fair.

Peter Pappas: house and know that, you know, I shouldn't throw stones at you. I get it. Nine dollars and ninety seven cents Lego thing. Okay, 'cause I got it. Like this card, I'm gonna give him fifty dollars in cash, I'm gonna give him a little Lego thing. Okay. And then she says, Are you done shopping?

Michael Dublin: And then she says, are you done?

Peter Pappas: I'm like, No, I gotta go over and get some grocery Well, you'll have to go to customer service and wait in

Michael Dublin: and we

Peter Pappas: line and pick it up and pay for it there. You think I'm gonna steal your nine dollar and ninety seven cents? You think I stood here for twenty minutes to steal nine dollars and ninety seven cents? You might be front well, probably you're pissed

Michael Dublin: I I'm gonna say you're $9.97. I I stood here for 20 minutes to steal $9.97 from you.

Peter Pappas: off enough at that point, you're like the hell with it, I'll just walk out. Are you kidding? I've walked back in because I I found stuff that I had didn't pay for. But that's me, that's not the normal but whatever. Anyway, I just said, you know what?

Michael Dublin: Maybe that's not too normal, but whatever. I just think you know.

Peter Pappas: I don't wanna I'm going to the LGBTQ plus probe place that I said I would never

Michael Dublin: BTQ Plus Pro Place.

Peter Pappas: shop at. Target. okay. And I'm gonna start shopping there because that w was ridiculous.

Michael Dublin: started dropping everything, that was ridiculous.

Peter Pappas: Okay. I love Woman of Conviction, can I say? But I broke Walmart that only Walmart That was the that is the best

Michael Dublin: That is-

Peter Pappas: Walmart. That's the best one the one on three one. There's different grades of Walmart. Forget it. Everything is picked over. There's nothing there. Yeah. If you go to the one out

Michael Dublin: Yes, if you go to SkyBow Road, forget it. Every week in October there's nothing there.

Peter Pappas: on Ramsey Street, mm, whatever. The best one is three one. They're the usually

Michael Dublin: There's a huge

Peter Pappas: the nicest people. It's usually the cleanest. And it's usually the w most well stocked up. Until it's not. Until s until another set of employees. Yeah. Yeah. You don't have to

Michael Dublin: the whole thing.

Peter Pappas: And that's the thing. See they don't give a damn because you're gonna go to Walmart 'cause you need them. But I'm not they don't need they don't need I stayed away.

Michael Dublin: I've stayed

Peter Pappas: I've stayed away from Target for years and years and years,

Michael Dublin: away from Target for years and years.

Peter Pappas: but Walmart just forced me to go to Target for the first time in years ever since they did the bathing suits

Michael Dublin: ever since

Peter Pappas: with the pocket for the boys. But anyway, but isn't that an interesting story? Not really. It's it's it's customer service

Michael Dublin: Yes, thank you.

Peter Pappas: and it's funny. Well, I have to admit, like I I went to down to the coast and you know, taking the girls to dinner and stuff like that. The service just seems poor. There isn't anywhere. It just I don't it's not just that one Walmart associate. It seems to be everybody just kinda got some kind of malaise about remembering customer service, you know. I don't believe the customer's always right, but they deserve to be heard. Right. You know, I wasn't attacking that for the and I feel bad that I yelled at it but I was just so fucked up but I wasn't like yelling, I'm just going, Can I please get some help?

Michael Dublin: So if I wasn't like, yeah, I'm just going, can I please get some help? We don't have to give you.

Peter Pappas: You don't have to give me an attitude. Well I wasn't giving you an attitude, I was giving the world an attitude. And I apologize for losing

Michael Dublin: you and attitude in the world. And I apologize for...

Peter Pappas: my pool. That was un immature of me. That was Un Laura like. I know, but I was just so frustrated. I just wanted to

Michael Dublin: I know but I was just so frustrated.

Peter Pappas: get in and out I wanted to have a little bit. Okay, well how do you feel about just ordering it on one on Amazon and having it filled it? Well, because I'm such a bad grandma. Okay. You forgot to do something. It did I was this week was my first week at work and I like, I'm gonna go today. I'm

Michael Dublin: This week was my first week of work and I was down in Soka.

Peter Pappas: gonna go tomorrow. I'm gonna go tomorrow. Tomorrow I'm gonna do it. Then it was here. Okay, I gotta set up my clothes

Michael Dublin: So I got to get home and I was like, I got it.

Peter Pappas: for tomorrow. I gotta go to the store, but I don't do that tomorrow. Okay. And then it was today. Yeah. So I'm a bad grandma. Okay. All right. Well, folks, that about does it for our live portion of the show. we are going to Pop off the live and compl continue recording our episode here with Mr. Michael Dublin. No more shows and no more Walmart stories. It's all gonna be it's we got a little bit about data centers and some other

Michael Dublin: here.

Peter Pappas: things to talk about, but the rest is Mr. Dublin segment. So please go to our website, the Carolina

Michael Dublin: I'm sorry.

Peter Pappas: Cabinet dot com, like, share, subscribe, and you can get the full episodes there. So we'll see you in the in the full episode. See you there. All right.

Michael Dublin: See you there.

Peter Pappas: Everybody, welcome back to the Cabinet subscriber edition. in the studio with

Michael Dublin: in the studio.

Peter Pappas: the lovely Laura Mossler and Mr. Michael Dublin, U.S. Senate candidate from

Michael Dublin: you

Peter Pappas: North Carolina. So the Green Party. Hello yo. Welcome, sir. So is Green

Michael Dublin: go.

Peter Pappas: Party the right way? Is that the name of the party? It's not like the Green Progressive something or other. No, it's just the North Carolina Green

Michael Dublin: system.

Peter Pappas: Party. North Carolina Green Party. All right. Straightforward and to the point. So you know. You are a former Marine. You served for a couple of years. You spent a career teaching in North Carolina public schools, then you recently retired. you've run a prison ministry for more than twenty years. you're a cool cat. Just laying back. All right, all right. And I'm gonna tell you up front, you deserve to know it. He deserves a hear it. I I do disagree with most of what he wants to do, but he came anyway. And Mr. Dublin, that that is what makes politics fun. So thank you and welcome to the captain. Thank you very much. thank you for the opportunity to To come down and talk to the people who come to Encounters. we don't have a lot of large friends down here, so I do appreciate y'all inviting me. I think it's pretty impressive because some of our own people that are actually in office supposedly representing that's one of them from our so that that's my head off here. Well I do have a more a little more respect than somebody who represents me. And we will return to this at the end of the segment, but Everyone has been invited as far as former Governor Cooper, US Senate candidate, Michael Watley and Shannon Bray running for Libertarians,

Michael Dublin: and Shannon Bray running through.

Peter Pappas: I think. they've all been invited. and we will follow up with them and see and you know, we we want to hear from as many people as we can. A percent. And I think it's fair that people know who the hell's on the

Michael Dublin: think it's big enough people that are doing this.

Peter Pappas: ballot. Mm-hmm. You know. So maybe we'll get some more of that third party vote in. I think it's a great option. If you're here talking and they they won't talk you'll get

Michael Dublin: And if you're talking, they won't

Peter Pappas: Well and and and I I like the fact that you said people that represent us. I think in the quotes, air quotes, because

Michael Dublin: And I like the fact that you said people that represent us, think. quotes, air quotes, because...

Peter Pappas: I think that's a problem that a lot of people have now. That's why you see the

Michael Dublin: Shady.

Peter Pappas: the unaffiliated block growing. I think people do want people who represent them.

Michael Dublin: think people do want people who represent them.

Peter Pappas: and you know that. people who don't just

Michael Dublin: I'm going to this.

Peter Pappas: talk the talk but don't walk the vote. And and you know we we were talking earlier and 'cause I I've heard this conversation too and some people said to me about

Michael Dublin: And, you know, we were talking earlier and I've heard this conversation too.

Peter Pappas: throwing away your vote. And they say that we got to vote strategically just so we can get a voice at the table. And I

Michael Dublin: And to say that we got to vote strategically just so we can get a voice at the table.

Peter Pappas: say, Well what good is a voice at the table if they're not speaking up for you when they get there. Or forget that you even exist. Yeah. I I don't wanna like dominate the conversation. But I but one thing and you guys know history. So

Michael Dublin: I don't want to like dominate this conversation, but one day you guys are going to hear.

Peter Pappas: I'm African American from the South. my family was mostly all Democrats. Mm-hmm. you know, that's historical facts. so just to talk to people who still say, yeah, we had to stick with the Democrats and what you're doing is wrong and I'm I'm I'm fighting this battle even in my family, you know, it's like

Michael Dublin: say, yeah, we have to stay with the Democrats. What you're doing is wrong. I'm fighting this about even in my family. was like, guys, what good is this if it comes out true?

Peter Pappas: Guys, what good is this if if they come to our churches when it's time to vote and you know, see how much they're gonna stand up for us and then when they get

Michael Dublin: And know, I'm still standing up for us.

Peter Pappas: in the office they they forget we exist. Well, one of the things that I I you know, I so just I wanna talk about just you for a minute before we really get into your platform. twenty years of prison ministry. How did you arrive at that? At that thing, couldn't that's not a not a career. no, no. you know, it's the story is I

Michael Dublin: You know, it's... the story is...

Peter Pappas: was a younger man and I was my sister and I w I was doing Christian rap

Michael Dublin: And I was my sister and was my cousin.

Peter Pappas: and we went to a church in Clayton and a lady I met said

Michael Dublin: See you.

Peter Pappas: I think they would like to hear that in the prison. And it was like, you know, like shackles falling from my eyes and I was like, Okay, I didn't even know

Michael Dublin: Okay.

Peter Pappas: who I'd be meeting or what I'd be doing, but I just knew I was supposed to go. And so actually Now, when I went I met another

Michael Dublin: Yeah.

Peter Pappas: lady, Miss Charlotte Jones. she had been doing prison ministry for like ten years. And so I joined up with her and

Michael Dublin: for like 10 years. so I joined with her.

Peter Pappas: we just would go to Johnston County Correctional just to encourage

Michael Dublin: That's a kind of correction of this.

Peter Pappas: the guys. We would take donuts drinks, you know, have have church service

Michael Dublin: service.

Peter Pappas: and spend time talking to just getting trying to encourage and Over twenty years. I mean and I'll say this. we did we did the work together and and Ms. Shaw is a s

Michael Dublin: 20 years I mean. And I'll this, we did the work together and I'm gonna show this

Peter Pappas: a strong Republican. Okay. But we we were able to come together to do this work. But that's community. Yeah. That's what we do. We have a hurricane. We got Republicans and Democrats and swift boats rescuing God knows who off our rooftop. I don't know. Everybody gets a damn. Well that's actually so what was I So of course my kind of questions are like, Well what is it you saw that you can't unsee? But I'd rather ask you what was the most rewarding part of running that ministry over 20 years?

Michael Dublin: Let's help people and and and

Peter Pappas: they taught me. So you know this thing going in and and the same thing is teaching. You know, you go in to teach, but you also get told. And I think that's that's something I've learned is to be willing to listen.

Michael Dublin: And I think that's something I learned is to be willing to listen. And I learned from those guys about faith.

Peter Pappas: And and I learned from those guys about about faith, about overcoming, even when things seem dark. And I mean there was times I went down there, I was feeling bad, like man,

Michael Dublin: Even when things get dark. And I mean, every time I went down to the hospital, it

Peter Pappas: I really wanna go. But then you go down there and you spend time with them and

Michael Dublin: You go down there and you spend time with them.

Peter Pappas: then I come back more encouraged. And so that was just great. you know, just a few weeks ago, I think it w no, it was Father's

Michael Dublin: So just a weeks ago, I think it was not.

Peter Pappas: Day. I was invited to go and preach at a a AME church, St. James AME Church

Michael Dublin: Thank you.

Peter Pappas: in Raleigh on Method Road. And just going in and

Michael Dublin: Let's go ahead and.

Peter Pappas: the choir the choir was singing and I saw one of the guys, he shook my hand, he said, Yeah, you ministered to me when I was in prison. Excellent. And I I haven't seen the guys in five or six years, and he

Michael Dublin: I've seen a guy that's actually cute.

Peter Pappas: just took the conversation to the congregation. He said he came to minister to me while I was in prison. That's how I knew his name when he saw my name on the thing. And it was like

Michael Dublin: anyone is anything like.

Peter Pappas: So that's that's like the most rewarding thing. So yeah. Did you f did you have a bunch of conversation with him to follow up? Like what has he been up to? Or just that was brief. I I don't know if like you you're not trying to make pen pals doing this thing, but you know, I mean it w it was a brief conversation,

Michael Dublin: That was a brief conversation.

Peter Pappas: but you know, I I plan on returning at some point

Michael Dublin: So

Peter Pappas: to visit, so Okay. Well it definitely so throughout my career, you know, hiring God knows how many people and whatever and Not everybody left on the best of terms, you know, it just happens, you know, break a few eggs, make that omelet. But w it's when somebody approaches my mom, it's Sam's like, Are you Peter's mom? She's like, and then it turns out that

Michael Dublin: Thanks.

Peter Pappas: it was something that I had gone out of my way for him and he was just wanted to thank my mom for you know, stuff that I did for him that I didn't have to. And he ended up stealing from me and I still didn't throw his butt in jail. Laura, go with question three. So you could have under the gun. And you have money, infrastructure, and real product department. Why did you know?

Michael Dublin: infrastructure and real-time finance.

Peter Pappas: I as a I I just think that the Democratic Party that that I grew up with is not the same. you know, they're taking the corporate funding, they're they're pro war. and I don't think they they listen to the people. I like like we said before, they they try to keep people off the ballot, try to keep

Michael Dublin: Thank you.

Peter Pappas: the green party off the ballot. And I'm just not I'm not for that.

Michael Dublin: And I'm just not, I'm not for that.

Peter Pappas: And plus it it does tie into what I kept saying. It's like they come to us and say we support you in this, this and this and then say, Yeah, we it's a voice at the table for you but then not to follow

Michael Dublin: And plus, it does kind of like what saying. like, when it to us, we support you in this, this, this, then. We yeah, we support you at the table for you, but then not.

Peter Pappas: through. And I got I got I mean Malcolm X was saying, you know,

Michael Dublin: I I got, I Malcolm X is saying.

Peter Pappas: you know, that now makes you a political chunk if you keep believing someone who says they they they're there for you and then they they don't do anything for you but only can say vote for us because we're better than that guy

Michael Dublin: make you a political chump. You keep believing someone who says, they're there for you and they're going to do anything for you, but all they can say is vote for us because we're better than that guy.

Peter Pappas: Like, well, okay, what do you know of us? Does it make time make us we're anywhere? How do

Michael Dublin: right there.

Peter Pappas: you know that we're better? You're always voting the same way. We've never given the other party a chance. any other party. Or any other party

Michael Dublin: for other support.

Peter Pappas: for that matter. Yes. So yeah. So where where are they? so if Malcolm X was here today with us, Green Party, Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, where do you think he'd fall? I think he'd be Green Party.

Michael Dublin: Thank you.

Peter Pappas: Green Party? Yeah. Okay. All the way. All right. I can think of that. So where did the Democrats because again, you're you're a black guy from the South. Democrat being Democrat was just the way it was. And for a lot of white folks too, old country folks, Democrat. Yeah. But we've discussed, Laura and I, quite a bit about how the Democratic Party has left a lot of its people behind. What was it for you that made you say,

Michael Dublin: you

Peter Pappas: I've had enough? you know, I was leaning towards leaving it, but

Michael Dublin: I was leaning towards leaving, but

Peter Pappas: And and and and when my grandma passed in twenty

Michael Dublin: my grandma passed.

Peter Pappas: eleven I didn't tell her that I already went unaffiliated. But it was I love it. There's a fear for the elders in most

Michael Dublin: We're for the elders.

Peter Pappas: agricultures. It was I mean

Michael Dublin: it

Peter Pappas: yes. I th during the Obama years and

Michael Dublin: Yeah, mommy!

Peter Pappas: the the the bank bailouts and and all that stuff and the drone bombings and all that, like that's this is not what this is not what I want. Mm-hmm. You know. So, you know, to run on the promise of, you know, looking out for for the workers and and just leaving us behind. I I just had enough. So So you felt left behind? I did feel left behind. Where were you in your career

Michael Dublin: I just had enough. So, I didn't feel that way.

Peter Pappas: at that point? Obama years and all, were you still teaching? Yes, I was still teaching. I mean I I didn't I didn't leave teaching until earlier this year. Okay.

Michael Dublin: they teach them too early to hear.

Peter Pappas: Okay. So middle of your career trying to raise a family and you just felt like they've they've left the station. Yes, that that

Michael Dublin: Yes.

Peter Pappas: was enough is enough and yeah. And again, not not just him, you know, like I said, they come visit the churches, they say, Hey, you know, we're here for you and then you you don't I mean I can name some people who've been some of these politicians who've been to our churches

Michael Dublin: And not just him, you know, that's it. They come visit churches, they say, hey, we're here for you. you know, I recognize some people who've been, some of these folks who've been not

Peter Pappas: and come to visit and So when you say they come to the church and they say they're gonna be here for you, what after they get elected?

Michael Dublin: When you say they come to the church and they say they're going to be here for you, what after they get...

Peter Pappas: What is it that you're specifically looking for to show that they're for you or just the the campaign promises that they

Michael Dublin: the campaign promises.

Peter Pappas: made. Stick to the script. I mean, yeah, if it's you know, if it's if it's for for jobs or for education or

Michael Dublin: Thanks.

Peter Pappas: housing or infrastructure. Well, you have you do

Michael Dublin: you

Peter Pappas: realize that that that when you you're like campaigning, you're not in office yet. You don't know what you can

Michael Dublin: You don't know what you.

Peter Pappas: do or can't do, and you have this pie in the sky idea of I'm gonna get housing taken care of and then you get there and if it's in the Senate there's you know, a whole bunch of other people you have to convince. they get your idea through. So they could be possibly working through the back or trying to get your stuff. But you can look and see what they're like writing as far as bills and things like that. Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Michael Dublin: Thank

Peter Pappas: Or check back in before campaign time. That's what I don't like. Is they they they love you when they're campaigning and they want something from you and as soon as they don't want

Michael Dublin: They love you when they're campaigning, when they want something from you, and as soon as they are...

Peter Pappas: you or need you anymore. Goodbye. Until campaign time. Love and leave baby. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I'm not naive, I

Michael Dublin: You know what I mean? I'm not naive.

Peter Pappas: I know how mostly how the system works. I'm not gonna say I know everything.

Michael Dublin: states the borders and that's it.

Peter Pappas: but like you say, I I know that and I even know that, you know, in the Senate there's more behind the scenes talking

Michael Dublin: I noted it and I noted it and I understand it a more.

Peter Pappas: trying to work stuff out than in the house. I get that. and that's that's why I'm willing I'm willing to talk and listen to people

Michael Dublin: And that's why I'm willing to talk and listen.

Peter Pappas: and still have my priorities and my standards. And and understanding that okay, well maybe maybe something is

Michael Dublin: and understanding that, okay, well maybe something is.

Peter Pappas: different that we can work out here. And you know I'm not I'm not going to make friends per se. but I am going to work with people at the same priorities. I mean, I think it's it's a

Michael Dublin: transfer state, but I am going to work with people with the same priorities. I mean, I think it's

Peter Pappas: Republican I see from that wants to ban stock trade. Republican Senate on senators, yeah. Senators and corresponds.

Michael Dublin: Ban, stop trade, public selling, Senate, first, second, second, third.

Peter Pappas: I heard about that. Yeah, heck yes. So I mean I I wouldn't look and say, I'm not gonna

Michael Dublin: So I mean, I would like to say...

Peter Pappas: join him, he's a republic. We need to do that.

Michael Dublin: You

Peter Pappas: I I would join up with that. I think it extended to especially if you're on certain committees that influence

Michael Dublin: if you're on certain committees.

Peter Pappas: those companies' future. So well look. I'm like the Pelosi's have like positive six thousand percent on the stock market. Yeah, somehow they beat it six thousand times. Yeah. It is that much smarter, but Yeah No. Yeah,

Michael Dublin: I'm a smarter, but.

Peter Pappas: yeah, yeah. Those algorithms are the killer for the Pelosi family.

Michael Dublin: killer.

Peter Pappas: So look, one thing that your party scares the hell out of me about is minimum wage. Okay. So Chris Rock had a skit that he said basically minimum wage is only there because they can't pay you anything

Michael Dublin: He said basically, you I might just fall in there because I can't pay.

Peter Pappas: less. Okay. So minimum wage is not supposed to be what you live off of. It's supposed to be to give people an entry to the workforce. It's supposed to be high school college kids working their way through and making some extra coin. So they can afford their lifestyle at the early twenties or teens and then they go to school to get a trade or something else and move on. So your party or a senior citizens that want to, you know, are

Michael Dublin: citizens that want to, you know.

Peter Pappas: just a little part time job just to get out of the house. They just need drug or booze money, yeah. I'm just saying, hey, if you get when you make it to be a senior citizen, let moves, bro. What do you w what what? I am a senior citizen. You wanna you wanna take a good looking body to the grave or you wanna wear it out? So twenty five bucks an hour. So I I look, I run a business. I mean that number I don't know how much I can charge for a sub before I'm closing the doors. So what do you say to guys like me in Fayetteville and small business people that you know, I just I still struggle to pay payroll. You know, it's not a given. So what do we do? Yeah, yeah, that's a

Michael Dublin: Yeah, that's

Peter Pappas: It's it's we believe in a liberal

Michael Dublin: We believe in

Peter Pappas: wage. and we don't we don't believe that people should have to work two or three jobs

Michael Dublin: They get to each other's work.

Peter Pappas: to pay their rent, to pay their utilities to feed their cheer ki children. And so this idea of that it would cause inflation and cause everything to

Michael Dublin: it will cause inflation and cause everything.

Peter Pappas: to go up too much. I mean it's it's not something that

Michael Dublin: It's not something

Peter Pappas: we believe that will happen.

Michael Dublin: that will happen. There are other ways to, I guess, save money and cut tax.

Peter Pappas: Mm-hmm. There's other ways to I guess save money and cut taxes when you look at military spending. when you look at how much actual taxes the rich are paying, the the percentage, you know, I'm not gonna say names, but the top one percent

Michael Dublin: I've never seen names, but it's about 100%.

Peter Pappas: a way of you know, bringing back money into the economy and and to the the the small businesses. Which we're not trying to

Michael Dublin: I'll try to.

Peter Pappas: you know

Michael Dublin: you know.

Peter Pappas: Make small business run out of money and go bang, well we're not I know so so if you cut taxes in one place or you start getting more taxes from the super rich, which the only reason they pay less taxes is because they're smarter. They have accountants, they don't use H and R block for their, you know, tax returns. They got guys that know how

Michael Dublin: I I got it.

Peter Pappas: to not exploit but take advantage of the tax rules that are there to minimize their taxes. But if you were to give To like bring more money into the government, are you suggesting maybe for a guy like me, I pay him ten dollars an hour and you come in and give him the other fifteen from the government? What what does the government do with how much I pay besides setting the minimum and praying that I can afford it? That's something that we can talk about.

Michael Dublin: We can stop.

Peter Pappas: I'd be willing to do that. I mean, are you suggesting that like you you rob

Michael Dublin: Yes.

Peter Pappas: Peter to pay Paul? Well, first of all, you can't pay anything without stealing from somebody else. Absolutely. Yeah. Or print more money and cause inflation. Yeah. Well okay. I'm trying to articulate a mechanism. Printing more money, Okay, now you now you're getting into the now you're getting into the feed. Well, I so because Laura's comment was the government can't make money if they don't steal it from somebody. They don't create wealth,

Michael Dublin: can't make money if they don't steal from somebody. It'll create...

Peter Pappas: they can take it. Which

Michael Dublin: the can't.

Peter Pappas: will absolutely lead to inflation. If there's if we're still doing

Michael Dublin: If there's, if there's no

Peter Pappas: it through the Federal Reserve System, which puts out debt money.

Michael Dublin: business.

Peter Pappas: But if the government coins is money and it's not debt money, but it's sovereign money, then we can pay for the things that we need. so you want to tax the rich more. But the top one percent of earners pay thirty eight point

Michael Dublin: 38

Peter Pappas: four percent of all federal taxes. So

Michael Dublin: So

Peter Pappas: How is that because it

Michael Dublin: how is that because it was.

Peter Pappas: we tax them more? How is that fair that they're paying they're

Michael Dublin: their pain.

Peter Pappas: only one percent and they're paying thirty-eight percent

Michael Dublin: Thanks for watching.

Peter Pappas: of all taxes that are paid? Or you take how

Michael Dublin: you

Peter Pappas: much of the profits are they make? we're

Michael Dublin: You're hero, Bo!

Peter Pappas: a product okay, so that this is where it gets into socialism and and jerk. If you go ahead and you make products and you get

Michael Dublin: If you go ahead and you make products and you

Peter Pappas: a good job and you and you do well and you create jobs for other people and things like that. Who cares how much money you make? That's the point of capitalism. That's how we have a great country, is because people are building things and becoming

Michael Dublin: because people are building things and be...

Peter Pappas: better. So now you want to like limit how much money you can make? Mm-hmm.

Michael Dublin: you can make.

Peter Pappas: Yeah. I'm not I'm not really for this exploitation as capitalist. No. It should be more fair. It is fair. If you do work and you work hard, then you make a lot of money. Some people work hard and they don't ever

Michael Dublin: It is fair. If you do work and you work hard, then you make a lot of money. Some people work hard, and they don't.

Peter Pappas: make a lot of money, but I work hard, I don't make a lot of money. But that's that's This person has to have so this person

Michael Dublin: This person has to listen.

Peter Pappas: can have not or whatever. You should work hard and make a lot of money. Then then you you guys have a union, do better with your union. But I mean you have representation.

Michael Dublin: I mean, we have property.

Peter Pappas: But how is it fair that these people that have created businesses

Michael Dublin: people that's created this.

Peter Pappas: and created wealth for this themselves pay thirty-eight over thirty-eight? It's thirty-eight point

Michael Dublin: 38 over 38.

Peter Pappas: four percent of all taxes in the entire country because they've been successful, they've worked hard and they've made a lot of money.

Michael Dublin: taxes in the entire country because they've been successful, they've worked hard and they've made a lot of money, so they should take on

Peter Pappas: So they should take on somebody who had d just has a high school education has done nothing

Michael Dublin: education.

Peter Pappas: with their life? That doesn't sound very fair to me. It doesn't sound fair to me to say that someone who just

Michael Dublin: here.

Peter Pappas: has a high school diploma has done nothing with their life. No, there's people with high school diplomas that have that haven't even graduated high school

Michael Dublin: I haven't even graduated.

Peter Pappas: that made something like, you know, Apple or HP or something like that because they You know, I don't we're not minimizing the value of a high school education. I know you fought for that in your life and it's important. That's an important base. I only have a high school education.

Michael Dublin: We have an exploit.

Peter Pappas: I did not go to college. I did not do anything. And I would love to have all the money that Elon Musk

Michael Dublin: And I would love to have all the money that you

Peter Pappas: has. However, that's not the cards that I've been dealt. I've been dealt the I rent a house. I work forty hours a week. I work actually two jobs. But I mean that's beside the point. That's that's the cards I've been dealt. It sucks that I'm not rich. I want to be rich. I am trans financial. What

Michael Dublin: But

Peter Pappas: she identifies as I identify as a rich person in a poor person's body.

Michael Dublin: identify as a rich person in a poor person's body.

Peter Pappas: I mean it's all right. Yeah, it's okay. Yeah, that's fine. But the

Michael Dublin: So.

Peter Pappas: bottom fifty percent of our entire country only pay three

Michael Dublin: of our entire country only pay.

Peter Pappas: point three percent of all the taxes. The bottom fifty percent we only pay three point three percent of all the taxes. This does not sound

Michael Dublin: We only pay 3.3 % of all taxes. This does not...

Peter Pappas: like a fair system to me. It sounds like the rich are paying our way. Yeah. I mean and and I'm I'm okay with it. I'm t but I just don't think that we should overtax other people. I hear you.

Michael Dublin: And I'm okay with it, I'm just not thinking that you should overtax

Peter Pappas: I I like like you said, we're we're gonna

Michael Dublin: shit

Peter Pappas: disagree on a lot of this. And I that's why can I so let's have a diagonal I mean so so I mean you guys have

Michael Dublin: It's a memory to have.

Peter Pappas: your iPads and stuff and you're looking up stuff. I'm which is code. Yeah. I get it. But I I mean I knew that that the top one percent paid a larger portion. I just didn't have the exact number so I looked up. I kne I thought it was thirty percent actually, so you beat me. But I think really what we wanna know and what people I want to know the value proposition of giving you my vote. Okay. So we've discussed it before, you know, I don't agree with I gave you the football jersey analogy earlier, you know, that we go, we

Michael Dublin: Yeah.

Peter Pappas: watch well you know, you go to Sunday to somebody's house and you wear the football jersey of your team, you rah,

Michael Dublin: get your team.

Peter Pappas: rah, rah, rah, and then Monday you take off the jersey and get to work. but so I don't want to vote for somebody just because they got on the right color jersey. Right. What's the value? Proposition. What's the exchange rate

Michael Dublin: stage.

Peter Pappas: for giving you a vote? And that's why I'm asking you a little bit adversarially these questions because prove to people why. You know, it's because they only get one vote. Yeah. And we all we all agree in this room that's very important. so how do we articulate getting a twenty five hour minimum wage? How do we get there? Do we just keep raising the case for that? I mean, okay, as you guys know, I can't

Michael Dublin: Yeah, give me the case for that. I mean, OK, as you guys know, I can't just go into the Senate floor.

Peter Pappas: Just go into the Senate floor. Well, I could. I could I could go to the Senate and and start

Michael Dublin: Good, good, good. Don't lose sight of it.

Peter Pappas: talking to people, Bernie Sanders, whoever, and say, Hey, let's get together

Michael Dublin: Get it good.

Peter Pappas: and propose this bill. Mm-hmm. And it's it's gonna take some work

Michael Dublin: And this is OK.

Peter Pappas: to get it passed. Mm-hmm. we already know that. But but just to get it toget to get it to where it's out there and we can begin

Michael Dublin: just to get it to get it it to where it's out there.

Peter Pappas: talking about how to do it. Maybe it's like what you said, maybe it's like what you said, but at least we begin the conversation.

Michael Dublin: you said, maybe it's not what you said, but at least we began the conversation

Peter Pappas: instead of just saying that we can't do it. And so I think that a vote for me is voting for someone who's

Michael Dublin: instead of saying that we can't do it. And so I think that a vote for me is a vote for someone

Peter Pappas: worked all his life, knows the value of a dollar. I I I have to save money. I have to budget who has given his life a service.

Michael Dublin: Give us life to

Peter Pappas: not going to Washington DC to get rich of stock trades, but going to serve the people because I've been serving the people

Michael Dublin: going to Washington DC to get rid of stock trades. I'm going to serve the people because I've been serving people. I'm going as a teacher. I'm going as a listener.

Peter Pappas: I'm going as a teacher, I'm going as a listener, I'm going to learn, but I'm going with the right intentions. And this is what I'm as far as people voting for me. I heard from so many people who said when I ran last cycle,

Michael Dublin: intentions and this is what as far as people vote for me i heard from so many people who said i ran last night

Peter Pappas: thank you for giving me somebody

Michael Dublin: excuse the game

Peter Pappas: to vote for. And that and that's that's that's what I'm here for, to give people someone else to vote for. We got this large block of people.

Michael Dublin: And that's what I'm here for, you know, people. Someone has to vote for what you guys are doing.

Peter Pappas: Who have left their parties, the corporate parties, and become unaffiliated because they've lost

Michael Dublin: Okay.

Peter Pappas: hope in politicians who actually represent them. And so I want to give them an option. That's the only r I'm running for a Senate, because you know, we can make this as complicated as possible.

Michael Dublin: to actually represent them. And so I want to give them an option. That's the only, I'm running for a second because, you know, can make this complicated.

Peter Pappas: But, you know, I was telling my wife when we were going to Tennessee to visit my son, his wife, I said, Everybody in North Carolina deserves a chance.

Michael Dublin: told my wife when we went to Tennessee to bid my son goodbye, said, everybody in North Carolina deserves a chance.

Peter Pappas: to vote for green. A chance. And so that this is why I'm running now the the the the platform is there. This is my website is there.

Michael Dublin: So that's why I'm running now. The platform is there. My website is there.

Peter Pappas: and there will there will be things to disagree

Michael Dublin: You're living crazy!

Peter Pappas: on. I I knew that when I look at you guys podcast. But what am I gonna do? So it's okay. So we'll chicken is I'm not gonna come down here? No. And see the here's the thing, you as an educator, I think you've educated me this evening because I'm starting to see that maybe these

Michael Dublin: See then.

Peter Pappas: things are just more aspirational than they are really nobody's really gamed them out. It's a good goal to aspire to. We just don't know how to get there. And you almost said one of the worst things ever in politics when you were talking about going to the Senate and then you switch gears. I was hoping you're gonna go down the other path. He almost said build a coalition or compromise. It was something like that about to come out of your mouth. And you said, well, I'm just gonna go to Bernie Sanders, which immediately I'm out. Well, as soon as you said Bernie Sanders. Yeah, I was like, Well, hold on, hold on. Now to be fair. To be fair, when we we were talking about stock trade. Yeah, yeah. I did I I think he's from is he from he's from Midwest.

Michael Dublin: Yeah.

Peter Pappas: The Republican Senator. McConnell? No. No. I'm sure we got some housekeeping to do too. I mean, don't you know I mean he he's he's pushing the he's pushing the the the No making money out of stock trades while in in in in in office. So yes, I mentioned Bernie Sanders that again, but I'm just saying I mentioned the GOP, the Republicans first.

Michael Dublin: I mentioned, I'm just saying, mentioned GOP, the Republican Senate.

Peter Pappas: The the complimentary part of what I was trying to get at is that you you kind of switched gears, but I feel like you were gonna say, I'm there to work with people. I'm there to you know you can't you can't do

Michael Dublin: You know you can't. You can't.

Peter Pappas: it. No, that that would be that'd be nice. It's team politics it's team and

Michael Dublin: And

Peter Pappas: You know nowadays people do not want

Michael Dublin: nowadays people do.

Peter Pappas: to cross over they don't want to cross, they don't want regardless of what it is, and that is disgusting because th just because I'm a Republican I have to vote this way. Well right, that's illogical. Just because I'm a Democrat I have to vote this way. No, you have to vote for your people that are in your district, your constituents. I agree, but can I say this? 'Cause I talk to people in the State House, people in the State Senate, and and my my senator is a Is Republican, my representative and not in State House, Republican. And I've talked to them and about certain things. And I've had my Republican

Michael Dublin: and I'm to them about certain things. And I've had my Republican

Peter Pappas: representative say to me, I voted this way because this is what the party w this is the way they want

Michael Dublin: I voted this way because this is what the party is doing.

Peter Pappas: me to vote. Well caucus that's what she that's she told me that.

Michael Dublin: See you tomorrow, mate.

Peter Pappas: Well, that's that's caucus level politics. See, that's why well that's like Why I like playing with the local because a lot of it is nonpartisan and you get to But at the same time if you go up there and you vote

Michael Dublin: At the same time, if you go up there.

Peter Pappas: against your party then you know it happens. Get off all your your your funds

Michael Dublin: I'll see you next year.

Peter Pappas: and everything else and you just sit there and thumbs in political time because they're meaning there. Because this isn't

Michael Dublin: there.

Peter Pappas: representing the people. This is about power. They're all about power nowadays. It's no longer a rep that's why we need to number one have term limits for our administrators and also term limits for our people. Not just the people how about How about age not age limits but cognitive test abilities. It but we have to have the term limits for administrators before

Michael Dublin: It's that we have to have the term limits for administrators.

Peter Pappas: we have term limits for the people that we vote for. Because if I'm sitting here and

Michael Dublin: moments for people that we vote for. Because if I'm sitting

Peter Pappas: I'm a 30-year employee, I'm just gonna outweigh you because you're not going to be here, eight years. It's gonna

Michael Dublin: you're eight years.

Peter Pappas: be my way. I'm just gonna outweigh you. Yeah, that's how it works. But okay. No, I was just gonna move us along a little bit.

Michael Dublin: I was just gonna move us along.

Peter Pappas: Yeah, I know. I see and I I told you I'm I'm not I'm not trying to BS you, I'm telling you. I've learned I just started to see this in a different way during the time we spent together. So you're gonna caucus with the democratic

Michael Dublin: Thank

Peter Pappas: no, I mean I don't know. Well I n I know that's the assumption. I know that's an assumption, but we're we're talking about party caucuses, right? Right. Is it is it in the constitution that says

Michael Dublin: Is it in the Constitution that says...

Peter Pappas: a person has to caucus with Republicans or Democrats? No, but they all do. They pick a side, they like all these usually Yeah, usually they fall against U.S. I know that I know it's how I know it works. I know that's how it works. But it doesn't say that. It doesn't say that. Well, and I you know how the retail politic would work with Democrat v Republican. You know, they they can be a little vindictive. I guess. But even in our state House or Senate, Carla Cunningham, you know, Democrat crossed the line and now she's had to be

Michael Dublin: and I'll talk across the block and then I'll just.

Peter Pappas: unaffiliated because Democrats won't give her the time of day. so she's ostracized herself. But I think if you're working with

Michael Dublin: just keep working.

Peter Pappas: people, you're gonna have to caucus with somebody. you're gonna have to choose a side. But one thing about the Green Party, eco socialist. What d give me some broad story what does that mean? Well, I mean, we definitely

Michael Dublin: I think we just need

Peter Pappas: believe in saving the ecology and being ecologically wisdom,

Michael Dublin: Thank you.

Peter Pappas: ecological wisdom, when it comes to our infrastructure. so we we would

Michael Dublin: So we.

Peter Pappas: support you know, more trains, public ac

Michael Dublin: and public.

Peter Pappas: and public transit, less cars on the road, things of that nature. the socialism part I think that does tie into our beliefs for health

Michael Dublin: that does tie into our beliefs.

Peter Pappas: care for all, with a system I guess sort of what what the UK has, so healthcare

Michael Dublin: So what the UK has.

Peter Pappas: for all, or kind of Medicaid for all system, housing for all. so these are things that that we support, free education through college,

Michael Dublin: that we support free education.

Peter Pappas: that that tie into that eco-socialism.

Michael Dublin: and to the

Peter Pappas: Okay. Who's gonna pay for it? There we It sounds like lofty gold. It sounded like it's aspirational. What what what what is you know, and and that that's always the question, how we pay for it. But see, before the government got involved in colleges, colli my a friend of mine went to college for four years and she paid six thousand dollars, six thousand dollars a semester. Now my friend is sending her two.

Michael Dublin: sending her two

Peter Pappas: boys to college and it's like twenty three thousand

Michael Dublin: boys to college. And it's like 23.

Peter Pappas: dollars a semester. When the g government gets involved, you know what happens?

Michael Dublin: get involved.

Peter Pappas: The price goes up. Everybody's making money hand over fist, except

Michael Dublin: Making money, and number five.

Peter Pappas: the workers or whatever. We're the ones paying for it. We're paying it out of our taxes and then we're paying again when it's time

Michael Dublin: about the taxes and then paying again.

Peter Pappas: to send our kids to college. Yeah, well who's who's getting rich? The universities.

Michael Dublin: The universities.

Peter Pappas: They have billions of dollars in innocent. Endowment. What Duke is like twelve billion? I mean it's like if you want the mess with that, let the government do. Mm. Well, in in Duke's case, they're not the government, but they do have that twelve billion dollar endowment. And I've seen protests and things. But it's because

Michael Dublin: Thank you.

Peter Pappas: the government got involved, because the government started backing the loans so they can charge whatever they want because the government backs the loans. They're gonna get paid. Mm-hmm. They don't have to spend their money because they're

Michael Dublin: We're not just sending money.

Peter Pappas: gonna get paid. Well, I agree. I agree. And that and that's when you get into this system

Michael Dublin: I agree. I agree. And that's where you get into this system.

Peter Pappas: that we have. And I again I advocate for

Michael Dublin: Okay.

Peter Pappas: sovereign money, which is put out there so we get the things that we need, the infrastructure, the school and the housing, and I mean that and and eventually retire the national debt

Michael Dublin: there so we get the things that we need after drugs to the school and housing and eventually retire to national debt.

Peter Pappas: when we stop taking money from the Fed system, which is putting out debt money.

Michael Dublin: the fear system.

Peter Pappas: And the Fed the tax funding. No, they're Yeah, that I if putting on

Michael Dublin: That means.

Peter Pappas: private energy when you mentioned sovereign money, it's been a while since economics for me. So is that money backed by a gold or some asset? Because right now we have a fiat currency. It it represents something. So are you talking about I mean it's it's money that I mean it's it's constitutionally

Michael Dublin: It's not that I mean, it's just constitutionally.

Peter Pappas: driven that the Congress supposed to make money. So think about the Lincoln Lincoln with the Green Backs. Okay, so you know, they

Michael Dublin: that the Congress is supposed to make money. So think about the Lincoln Lincoln with the greenbacks. Okay, so, you know,

Peter Pappas: Put the money out there. Now they didn't put in

Michael Dublin: they put the money out there, and they get put in.

Peter Pappas: all the way where the banks couldn't come back in and start giving out money, especially

Michael Dublin: way where the base will come back in and start getting out.

Peter Pappas: in n nineteen thirteen, I believe, when the Fed and all that stuff started, you know, with the I mean are you talking about a return to the gold standard? Something like that. I'm not sure. I mean it's it's it's the money that the government makes and it's backed by the government for things that we need and it's not debt money, there's no

Michael Dublin: It's money that the government makes and it's backed by the government for things that we need. It's not that money.

Peter Pappas: debt attached to it. Okay, so they they figure out how much money do we need for housing, how much for infrastructure, and they put it out. It's put out by the act by the government, not the Fed system. So it's not debt money, it's sovereign

Michael Dublin: system so it's a money system.

Peter Pappas: money. Okay, okay. All right, I understand that better now. Okay. you can bring back to the gold standard, it's fine with me, 'cause there's only a finite amount of gold. So that's how many dollars we can print. We can't just make more. Can't make more gold. So I'm going to the hill. I'm on my knees of gold. So I wanted to get your perspective because you were an educator for a long time. here in Cumberland County, we we have our issues like anywhere else. we're a tier one community. what and this is just for advice, this is not a US Senate candidate question. This is more what do you want to see out of a school board? Like what do you want to see out of a school board candidate? What should we be watching as the rank and file citizen? Like what should we want? First of all, no NDAs. Okay. where they what they're signed NDAs with these other

Michael Dublin: the sun indeed.

Peter Pappas: companies where they don't talk to their constituents.

Michael Dublin: It's really not totally.

Peter Pappas: So and that's that's that that's for county commissioners as well. you know, speak speak to the people and don't don't don't be signing NDAs where you you're you're doing stuff behind the back and then then then can't share

Michael Dublin: Okay, cheers.

Peter Pappas: what you're working on. I mean that you know so what what I'm looking for is

Michael Dublin: for years.

Peter Pappas: for a school system less testing too much too much instructional time

Michael Dublin: testing too much too much instructional

Peter Pappas: is lost from testing so just I mean we

Michael Dublin: Yes, it's a little something.

Peter Pappas: probably probably cut testing down to

Michael Dublin: It's a dozen down to at least 50 % of the test is going on. Maybe it's 60%.

Peter Pappas: At least fifty percent of the testing is going on, maybe even sixty percent. more time in school working with paper, pencils, books, less computer time, way too much computer time, you know, start getting the kids to to think in again instead of just looking stuff up. you know, skills such as r how to read a map,

Michael Dublin: get the kids to think again. So just looking stuff up. Skills such as how to read a map.

Peter Pappas: bring that back. recess. That's one thing fought for in middle school, like these kids need recess, they wouldn't go and just get out some energy. Get out some energy, relax and all that. And I

Michael Dublin: and you relax out of

Peter Pappas: was told we can't do that because we'll lose too much instruction at the time. And Yeah. Okay. Yeah. All right. So I'm trying to build this avatar of a person. So we want somebody that is advocating for more teaching,

Michael Dublin: that is advocating for more teachers.

Peter Pappas: less test taking. Yeah. more student focused. Yeah. Especially in middle school, the life stage of get

Michael Dublin: school life state.

Peter Pappas: that energy out out there and not in my classroom. I'll go for anybody that is pro-Adead way of Yes. Yes.

Michael Dublin: Thank you.

Peter Pappas: Well and respect from teachers, for teachers. And not I I know when I say that we just

Michael Dublin: And respect the teachers, for teachers. And now I know when I say that.

Peter Pappas: we're just talking about the students, but yes, respect for the teach for the teachers, from the students. but also from administration. I was gonna say, no, that goes from the top. Yeah, that that teachers know what they're doing and they're

Michael Dublin: Yes, expect for teachers, for the students. But most of them administration, yeah, they teach nobody to do it.

Peter Pappas: professionals. Yeah. All these micro managers go to this meeting, this meeting, this meeting, all the time meetings. And it's a joke, but it's like teachers say, Yeah, wait to the end of the day to go to the bathroom. It's like, what the heck? Mm-hmm. You know. So what do you have you kept an eye on the North Carolina budget with the teacher pay that we did just push through? I think it was like a thirteen or seventeen percent increase in the starting teacher pay, but then teachers five to twenty-four years don't get jacked.

Michael Dublin: you could pay but then teacher was five to twenty-four years from the teacher.

Peter Pappas: Yeah, and that's the way it's being a and most people when they hear thirteen or seventeen percent, it's like, yeah, you guys got thirteen percent or fifteen percent raised I'm like,

Michael Dublin: Yeah, and that's way it's been. And most people in the year, thirteen or seventeen percent, is like, yeah, I got thirteen percent! I'm a fifteen percent raise!

Peter Pappas: No, I didn't. Yeah. Well, based on what is a thing, is it wasn't

Michael Dublin: Thank you.

Peter Pappas: much to begin with. So why am I excited? Right. Yeah. So I mean, do you keep track of any of that stuff now that you're not teaching anymore? I keep track of it. But you know, since I ran

Michael Dublin: keep track of it.

Peter Pappas: for federal I do keep a eye on it, but not that close. I do know the budget passed

Michael Dublin: do not get paid.

Peter Pappas: and I saw the percentage raise. I mean and you know, I still have family members that work for the state. Mm-hmm.

Michael Dublin: state.

Peter Pappas: So we do we do keep a eye on that. Okay. Okay. So Okay. If there's somebody watching this that agrees with me on most everything, but they think you're wrong on almost everything. What's the one what's the one thing and this is just how I wrote it? What is the one thing you would want them to take away from the last twenty five, thirty minutes that we spent together? What would you like them most to remember about you and your party and your platform? I know that a lot of people will

Michael Dublin: know that a lot of people will.

Peter Pappas: look at the party and

Michael Dublin: Thank

Peter Pappas: they'll size me up by the party. I I'm more than the party. I'm Michael Dublin. I'm running because I care for the people. I care for North Carolina. I'm I'm I'm a native. and so if we if we disagree on something

Michael Dublin: if we disagree on something.

Peter Pappas: I would just ask them to understand that I have everybody's well being in

Michael Dublin: just had to understand that I hope everybody's well.

Peter Pappas: mind. I think the fact that I'm here,

Michael Dublin: the fact that I'm here.

Peter Pappas: and I do know that a lot of people who

Michael Dublin: And I do know that a lot of people...

Peter Pappas: quote unquote on the left may actually have a problem problem of me being here. And that's another issue because we we have to, in my opinion,

Michael Dublin: That's not the issue because we have to in my opinion.

Peter Pappas: be willing to listen to other people and be able to learn from other people. I'm I'm running to do that, to help the people of North Carolina. I know that a lot of you have just given up on politics. I heard it on both sides I hear from a lot of people that say that none of them are any good. they're all greedy, they're all corrupt. And that's why I'm running to give people

Michael Dublin: And that's why I'm running.

Peter Pappas: an option of someone who's a working class person as a That's a servant to the people and it's going to truly

Michael Dublin: to the people and I just want

Peter Pappas: represent the people. We may disagree on some quite a few things. I mean, everybody

Michael Dublin: I'm a three-on-one, but if you think of me,

Peter Pappas: is a is a thinking person and I respect everyone's opinion. That's why I will listen. even if even if I disagree, I'm gonna listen. And I and I think that we need to start listening more to each other because we're

Michael Dublin: I will listen, even if I disagree, I will listen. And I think that we need to start listening more to the data because

Peter Pappas: we're in a lot of we're in we're in a lot of trouble right now. And we need people to

Michael Dublin: And we need

Peter Pappas: start listening to each other more. instead of just saying, Well, you're this and you're that.

Michael Dublin: the same way yours is.

Peter Pappas: I can't even listen to you. I I can't do that. I can't I wouldn't even run if I had to

Michael Dublin: I wouldn't even run if I

Peter Pappas: do it like that. Okay. and so that's what I want people to understand.

Michael Dublin: Thanks.

Peter Pappas: I'm doing it for the love of people.

Michael Dublin: for low people.

Peter Pappas: I'm not going to get rich, I'm not going to get power. I don't look at it.

Michael Dublin: It's been the whole of how this time has been going. But I think we need to do

Peter Pappas: has been the hose of powers from this Nicole. But I think we need to get back to hold of service. Well, Mr. Dublin, thank you for being here. You came into a room where you knew the host was going to disagree with you. And you answered many questions. You answered all of my

Michael Dublin: Thank you guys.

Peter Pappas: questions and I did learn something from you and I'm not going to BS that. So where do people find more about your campaign? they can go to my website at Dublin for Senate dot com.

Michael Dublin: I think that's my website. I'm doubling for Stinnick.

Peter Pappas: Or they can go to Dublin for Congress dot com. Either way to my website. And And I always say campaigns don't run themselves. If you like what you have heard from Mr. Dublin, you can give your time or you can give your money. Or you can give both. And I'm sure you would appreciate that. So feel free to visit Mr. Dublin's website and give your time. Donate your money. Whatever you need. Yeah.

Michael Dublin: be a part of Mr. Dublin. You can give your time, or you can give your money, or you can give both. And I'm sure you would appreciate it. So feel free to visit Mr. Dublin's website and give your time, donate your money, whatever you need.

Peter Pappas: And we will put the links in the final version of this. So people hopefully They can help you out. And like you said, volunteering is it's gold these days. People's time is is is money. I mean I say it, but yeah, I mean it that's true. So and and if we can get

Michael Dublin: People's time is money, mean, it's sad, but yeah, I mean, that's true. So, and it's...

Peter Pappas: a hundred of your listeners to get a thousand dollars that pay attention. He's got he's got goals and aspirations here. Well well, as always, Laura, thank you for being here. even if you

Michael Dublin: As always, thank you for being here.

Peter Pappas: accommodated my Greek time tonight at six fifteen going live, but You know, anyway, and Mr. Devlin was very early, so he got to see me very frustrated with all the equipment. But until so yeah,

Michael Dublin: Absolutely.

Peter Pappas: it's okay. But but coming up next week we have Mr. Jonathan Strange coming. he's running for a district court seat here in Fayetteville. we will of course go live again and then you can follow, likes, subscribe, and you can get to the subscriber only version that you're watching right now here on the Carolina cabinet. So And until then we will see you next

Michael Dublin: See you.

Peter Pappas: Monday. Have a good evening.
