Army Chaplain, Retired. Reverend, Husband and Father
I was born and raised in Fayetteville. Attended Terry Sanford High School and NC State University. After a significant conversion experience my junior year in college and after 2 years working in retail sales post-college I went to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest to pursue a call to ministry. I was ordained in 1996, spent 4 and 1/2 years as a youth pastor in Salisbury and then began to pursue a call as a Chaplain in the US Army. I was notified of my direct commission in the Army as a Chaplain on September 18th, 2001. I spent 21 years serving as a US Army Chaplain, deploying three times, twice to combat zones. My career culminated in 2020 as the Deputy Command Chaplain at Fort Polk, LA. My final rank was Lieutenant Colonel. Upon retiring I returned home to pursue a career in Real Estate while also serving my local denominational church. Along the way I married Sarah (now 20 years) and we have 5 children between the ages of 8 and 19. We homeschool our children and are doing our best to raise them to love Jesus.
