John Gobrick

Originally from upstate New York (Rome). Entered the US Army as an enlisted Soldier in 1988, then served 34 years retiring in June 2022 as a Colonel. I’m a huge believer in giving back to the community and belong to multiple non profit organizations serving the community and its veterans. Saw the absence of recognition for High School graduates enlisting in the Armed Forces in our area and began organizing an initial effort. After a Google search found the National organization, “Our Community Salutes and collaborated with them to conduct our inaugural Enlistee recognition ceremony for the Fayetteville area in April 2023, which was the largest inaugural ceremony in OCS’s then 15 year history.
