For over a decade, Mr. Jarvis has been a prominent leader in North Carolina Republican politics, serving two years as Vice President of the Black Republicans Committee of the Durham GOP, eight years as Chairman of the Durham County Republican Party, and from 2021 to 2023 as Chairman of North Carolina’s 4th Congressional District. He has also contributed to public service through memberships on the NC Martin Luther King Jr. Commission, the Human Relations Commission of North Carolina, and the North Carolina Innocence Inquiry Commission, where he advocated for justice and exoneration.
Beyond politics, Mr. Jarvis and his wife operate Jireh Family Farm, a successful enterprise offering locally sourced meat and eggs. They engage the community through summer farm camps, tours, farm-to-table meals, and homestead classes, promoting sustainability and agricultural connection.
In 2023, he became the fourth president of The Frederick Douglass Foundation of North Carolina, advancing principles of freedom, faith, and family. In 2025, Mr. Jarvis published his debut book, “What Does God Think About Republicans,” exploring whether the Republican Party’s policies and motivations align with divine values.
