For over a decade, Mr. Jarvis has served with distinction, including two pivotal years as Vice President of the Black Republicans Committee of the Durham GOP, eight years as Chairman of the Durham County Republican Party, and more recently, a term as Chairman of North Carolina’s 4th Congressional District from 2021 to 2023. His leadership extends beyond politics, as evidenced by his commitment to his membership with the NC Martin Luther King Jr. Commission and the Human Relations Commission of North Carolina. Most notably, Mr. Jarvis completed his term with the North Carolina Innocence Inquiry Commission, where he championed fairness and justice for those seeking exoneration.
His passions, however, reach further than public service. Together with his wife, Mr. Jarvis operates Jireh Family Farm, a thriving business specializing in locally sourced meat and eggs. Through summer farm camps, tours, farm-to-table meals, and homestead classes, they are educating and inspiring their community to stay connected to sustainability and agriculture.
This October, Mr. Jarvis attained a new milestone by becoming the fourth president of The Frederick Douglass Foundation of North Carolina, cementing his role as a visionary figure in advancing the values of freedom, faith, and family.
Today, Mr. Jarvis is here to share his perspectives, drawing from his extensive experience across politics, community service, and entrepreneurship. His insights will inspire and empower us, as Republican women, to continue building a brighter and stronger future for our communities and nation.
